First meeting in the new year

Dear IBSG members,

We are now officially on holiday break and we will meet agaon on Sunday, the 10 of january 2010, at 13:30 at the University church.

We hope to see you all again next year and wish you a happy Christmas and a happy new year.

Invitation to Matthias´ birthday

Dear IBSG,

Matthias would also like to invite you all to his birthday party at 7 pm or so on Saturday, December 5. He lives at Holtenauerstr. 318.

He will make chili or something and you don't have to bring anything. But if you insist, he does like nice cheese. Especially soft French cheese. ;-)

But you really don't need to bring anything but yourself.

Thanksgiving

Dear IBSG,

On Friday, November 27, we are eating Thanksgiving Dinner at Johanna's Studentenwohnheim (Dormitory) at 7:00 pm. She lives at the Evangelische Studentenwohnheim across from the aquarium:

It's a great time every year. We will have a great dinner with some time for singing and stuff after that. Please come by and bring a friend. If you bring something to eat, that would be much appreciated. So far we have people bringing turkey, mashed potatoes, Polish carrots, salad, and one dessert. More food would be good - we like to eat everything, especially things from your home country. There is no need to inform us that you're coming. Bring as many people as you want, and bring things to eat with if you can. We have some plates and stuff, but I don't know how many.

News for the Dinner Roulette

Hello everyone,

The dinner roulette will start at 17:00 on Saturday. We will meet at the University Church.
Please write to Matthias, if you want to come. You´ll find his mail in the last post on the dinner roulette. It helps to know how many we need to feed. If you forget to tell us, you can still come.

Now important reminders for thos who are coming or want to come:

1) Bring a bike, if you have one. If not, let Matthias know and he arrange for enough cars for everyone.

2) Bring a plate or bowl, a cup, and eating tools. The people who are serving food do not have enough plates and cuttlery for everyone.

After desert, we usually sing, pray and have some time of fellowship.

This will be really fun and we are all looking forward to see you there!

Dinner Roulette

Hi loving members of the IBSG and the body of Christ.

On Saturday, the 31st of October, we will have our Dinner Roulette. This is a fun event with a lot of fun, food, and fellowship. We meet together and travel to four or five houses and eat something at each house, for example a starter at the first place, soup at the second, and so on. We would love to see you there.

Here's what you need to do:1. Keep the evening of the 31st free.2. Send me an email that you are coming: mpommer2@hotmail.com. If you would like to be one of the stations to serve something, let me also know where you live and what you want to serve.

Begrüßungstage im International Center

This Tuesday, 13 of october, and Wednesday, 14 of october, the International Center of the University in Kiel will have an opening for the new international students to welcome them. Different student groups can present themselves to the new students and hand out flyers etc.

We will also have a stand and talk to the students about us. If you want to help us, invite new international students and presenting our group, please meat us at 9:00 in the International Center on Tuesday and/or Wednesday. I am sure you will recognize us and our stand :-)

Please pray that we can reach a lot of new students and invite them to come next Sunday!

Invitation to Oseias´ Birthday

Next Sunday it is Oseias´ Birthday and he would love to invite you all to come and celebrate with him!

We will meet at our regular time, at 13:30, at the University church. After some time of worship and prayer, we will celebrate Oseias birthday together and have lots of cake!
